Quick Summary: Scientists at an Arctic research station discover a spacecraft buried in the ice. Upon closer examination, they discover the frozen pilot. All hell breaks loose when they take him back to their station and he is accidentally thawed out!
The Thing is now considered by many to be one of the best films of 1951. The film "is better than most flying saucer movies, thanks to well-drawn characters and concise, tense plotting." In 2001, the United States Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry. Additionally, Time magazine named The Thing from Another World "the greatest 1950s sci-fi movie.” They'll be popcorn, good fun and good company.

There will be a silent auction and it's looking like it will be a good one. Members and friends have donated some impressive things. Maplewood Farm has donated a one year family season pass. WOW, Wow, wow!!! I will be donating a couple of rare comic books. I will also donate a big auto base box. There will be an old iMac, PlayStation 3, a Electric Keyboard and much more. Proceeds from donations will help you create your own B movies in the future.
See you there!
